Play and Learn Bridge Sessions

Our friendly Play and Learn bridge sessions are designed so that you have fun playing bridge, and learn in the process. Our format combines enjoyable bridge play with organized learning, an ideal way to consolidate knowledge, increase confidence and improve your bridge understanding and expertise.
Like any worthwhile activity, bridge requires plenty of practice, and the best way to sharpen your playing skills is through our Play and Learn supervised play sessions. During the session, John Kempf and Carol Panzer, Iowa City Bridge game directors and teachers, will circulate to answer your questions about bidding, playing and defense as they come up.
We will start the session by playing eight curated hands, designed to improve your bidding, declarer play and defense skills. After the session, we will email you a handout that contains a diagram of each hand, along with our suggested bidding, opening lead, declarer play, and defense tips. If time allows, we'll play additional hands by shuffling and dealing.
Common Sense Bridge 1 or equivalent is required.
A partner is not required.
